After the stabbing of Ece, three asylum seekers were arrested on suspicion on Monday. Including a 25-year-old compatriot of the alleged perpetrator (27), who has since been arrested and who also lived with him in the asylum accommodation. However, the migrant from Eritrea was released.
It is all the more puzzling what happened practically at the same time as the murder victim’s funeral on Wednesday: The 25-year-old marched to the nearby train station, waited for a train to arrive and stood on the tracks. Despite emergency braking, the set caught him, and the asylum seeker died at the scene of the accident.
The connection between his suicide and the murder of Ece should be clarified in further investigations.
