A US military official reports that Russia is “likely” removing nuclear warheads from cruise missiles and firing the unarmed munitions at Ukraine. The UK Ministry of Defense stated that the warheads were likely replaced with ballast.
The Pentagon in Washington has said that part of Russia’s increased missile strikes in Ukraine are aimed solely at depleting Kiev’s stockpiles of anti-aircraft systems.
Because of this, the United States and other allies have focused on providing Ukraine with air defense systems.
Is that also one of the reasons why the USA does not want to deliver Patriot systems to Ukraine for the time being? “Currently we have no plans to provide Ukraine with air defense systems of this type,” explains a Pentagon spokesman – the eXXpress reports currently.
