The Russian Air Force’s Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers and the PLA’s Hong-6k strategic bombers have conducted an air patrol in the waters of the Japan and East China Seas.
For the first time, Russian planes landed at an airfield in the People’s Republic of China and Chinese planes at an airfield in the Russian Federation during joint air patrols. The exercise was conducted under the terms of the 2022 Military Cooperation Plan. It is not directed against third countries, it is said.
The flight time of the Russian strategic missile carriers was about 8 hours. Su-30cm and Su-35c aircraft of the Russian Air Force accompanied the flight group.
