An explosion erupted when an employee at the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid opened the mail on Wednesday. A letter bomb detonated in the hands of the Ukrainian. The man went to the hospital to be safe, but was only slightly injured, as reported by the Spanish Policia Nacional.
The police have activated the anti-terrorist protocol and cordoned off the area around the embassy building in the Piovera district. Two dog handlers and an anti-explosive squad checked the building to make sure no more explosive devices were being placed.
