According to “Bild”, the owner of the vehicle was woken up by a beeping sound from his Ford Kuga. When he looked out the window, all he could see was a fireball. The extinguishing work of the alarmed fire brigade was extremely difficult. The battery was on fire – and the vehicle was still connected to the power grid!
Owners of e-cars are also alarmed in Austria: The large fire in the well-known Strombad Kritzendorf near Vienna was also triggered when an electric car was charged – the eXXpress reported.
