The entire 13th floor of the Berlaymont building, where the Commission President’s office is located, has been evacuated, reports De Telegraaf. Ursula Von der Leyen and other people would have left the building safely. There were no injuries.
In the afternoon, emergency services gathered around the building, some with breathing apparatus. The person in Von der Leyen’s office who was holding the letter containing the powder was isolated. The letter will now be examined.
