Obviously, people in China are fed up with the lockdowns and the zero-Covid policy of the communist leadership, which not only massively damages the economy, but also repeatedly endangers countless human lives. According to reports, there are increasing protests – recently, for example, in the city of Shenzhen.
After the authorities once again imposed a comprehensive lockdown in Shawei in Shenzhen, the people there protested against this coercive measure. The reason for the lockdown was a few positive Covid tests in the area.
As the pictures and videos shared on social media make clear, the state authorities are trying to bring the demonstrators under control.
Even if there are not yet tens or even hundreds of thousands of people who are rebelling against the rigid measures, these pictures show that displeasure with the government’s handling of the virus is increasing massively. Naturally, the Chinese are not known for their willingness to protest, but the Communist Party is simply taking its misanthropic policies too far. While most of the world has long since returned to normal, the Chinese government is clinging to the corona madness.
In view of the severe censorship in the People’s Republic, only little footage is leaked out. Nevertheless, the communist rulers cannot censor everything and cannot completely stop the flow of information abroad.
The demonstrators are putting up with a lot of injustice. After all, people in China have to take a regular Covid test in order to keep their Covid vaccination card “green” and not lose their job. Below you can see a recording of a Covid test facility.
The increasingly flaring protests show that people are less and less inclined to submit to the rigid regime. True, mass protests are still a long way off, but the ball is starting to roll. The longer this state of emergency lasts, the more the power of the Communist Party will falter. How much longer can President Xi pull this off before critical mass is reached?
