The former President of the German Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Hans-Georg-Maassen, fears that Germany will degenerate into an eco-socialist dictatorship. According to Maassen, who worked in the civil service for around three decades, he has a good overview of what is going wrong in Germany. In his view, the problem in ruling politics is not just incompetence: it is the open will to destroy ideology-driven fanatics.
In a detailed Interview with journalist Alexander Wallasch from September 19th Among other things, Maassen takes aim at the catastrophic understanding of democracy in Germany: If green fantasies are criticized, then democratic principles lose all meaning. The former president of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution not only denounces the infantility and lack of competence of ideology-driven politicians. For him it is clear that behind the political course there is also a targeted destruction in favor of a green “transformation”:
But the inability is only one side. I am firmly convinced that these people also want to destroy a lot because their motivation is to carry out a green transformation, which is only possible if the existing social system is destroyed and a new one is built.
In fact, the Greens in particular make no secret of it – Robert Habeck, for example, announced at the WEF meeting in Davos in 2020 that he considered a radical system change to be necessary. Maassen further discusses:
Such social constructivism existed in classical socialism, Nazism and Maoism, and all social constructivism led to death and misery. These people reject our free democracy because they believe that their ideological goals, such as protecting the global climate, are more important than the democratic constitutional state. For these people, democracy only has a serving function, namely the implementation of their ideological goals. If the will of the people is such that the ideology is rejected, these people will not accept it because it is right-wing, counter-revolutionary or conspiracy theory.
These observations may seem more familiar to critical citizens – and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that people in eastern Germany in particular are taking to the barricades:
This is exactly the understanding of democracy in the sense of the German “democratic” republic. This understanding of democracy is anti-constitutional and must be fought.
For Maassen, it’s the ideology-driven, who can’t stand opposing opinions (let alone the truth), who genuinely deserve the label “Nazi” these days:
These people behave like Nazis who exclude other people, defame them, want to silence them, deprive them of their economic basis of existence, who simply cannot bear that there are people who think differently, who want to decide for themselves about their lives, that there are people who speak the truth that contradicts the ideology of lies and who simply have a different opinion. I feel this deep hatred of these people who just can’t bear to face the truth. I’m wondering how far these people want to go.
Nevertheless, the CDU politician, who again sharply criticizes the course taken by the Merkel government in an interview, shows a certain confidence: he has noticed an awakening – even among those who previously voted for the Greens. As in the GDR, he believes that many former supporters will no longer be able to argue away the gap between reality and left-green utopia. Fear of the future is already spreading among all parts of the population.
In the following, Wallasch and Maaßen not only discuss the energy crisis and the imminent danger of a blackout, but also the politically promoted mass migration and misguided incentives through the coming citizens’ income. The full readable interview You will find here.
