The FPÖ again took second place in a state election, the ÖVP and the Greens lost a lot of votes, some spoke of a debacle for the two parties that make up the federal government in Vienna. Of course, the reckoning in the “black” Tyrol could have been even more severe, Anton Mattle got away with a black eye, but the Greens lost 25% of their previous strength.
In any case, the Liberals were able to score. There are certainly several reasons for this: top candidate Markus Abwerzger conducted a very good election campaign – but above all the federal party helpfully occupied those topics that currently interest Austrians the most, which cause most of us great concern.
While green ministers have the climate bonus, financed with tax money, also transferred to the dead and to every asylum seeker who has been sitting around in our country for at least six months, the FPÖ addressed the extreme inflation and also the incomprehensible asylum scandal at our borders day after day: No sane person in Austria understands that our police officers and army soldiers must not stop incoming migrants from India or Pakistan from crossing the border, but must also chauffeur these groups to the nearest asylum center. They have to end the job of the smuggling mafia on Austrian soil – “according to the applicable EU laws”, they try to justify themselves in the Ministry of the Interior.
The unbelievable waiver of the Austrian federal government for fear of Brussels on an actually effective border protection, on a strict rejection of the asylum groups coming from an absolutely safe country (Hungary), leads to a further extreme burden on our social system.
In addition to the 58,000 Ukrainian refugees, 32,000 mostly male immigrants from India, Pakistan, Syria and Afghanistan have already arrived this year. So for 90,000 of these foreigners, the Austrian taxpayer already takes over the basic care, which are enormous monthly costs: At 25 euros as a daily rate, up to 67.5 million euros per month are currently due for the care of migrants – treatment costs in case of illness or security personnel not taken into account at all.
In one year, Austrians spend 810 million euros on people, only some of whom actually have a right to asylum. 810 million euros in costs because our black-green federal government cuddles in front of Ursula Von der Leyen and her friends in Brussels and does not secure the borders as the Austrian population expects.
In a crisis with impending power cuts and supply bottlenecks in our Austria, the federal government has to take care of its own population, THEN for the rest of the world in Pakistan, India or Ukraine.
The Tyrol election showed that the FPÖ and its demands should be taken seriously. The realos in the ÖVP – in Lower Austria, in Vienna and also in some ÖVP federations – will certainly not be ignored. Just for self protection.
