That’s “no shit” now, reported the Federal Minister of Economics in his usual professional choice of words: The workload in the ministry is high – his poor civil servants get tinnitus from all the stress. The attempt to solicit sympathy for his ministry backfired: in the social networks, people only have a lack of understanding and malice. After all, the citizens who can no longer afford to live and lose their livelihoods are under much greater pressure – and unlike Habeck and his subordinates are not responsible for it themselves.
In his ministry, 20 laws and 28 regulations have been made in the past nine months, boasted Habeck on Thursday – just as if the citizens who are suffering from the consequences of the traffic light policy should also be grateful for it. The economics minister even had the nerve to write his lament at a congress of the Federation of German Industries in Berlin. Germany’s industry is currently being ruined according to the green ideology: The entrepreneurs and their employees affected will certainly have a lot of applause for this. Indeed praised Habeck himself and his ministry for having found a way of being able to save the massively controversial gas levy, in order to really ask German gas customers to pay up.
But his subordinates seem to be suffering from the fact that the green suicide policy is being pushed through at record speed – after all, Germany is not going to get rid of itself. “People, at some point they have to sleep and eat too,” Habeck wailed. “It’s not shit I’m telling now: people are getting sick. They have burnout, they get tinnitus. They can’t do it anymore.” That is likely to apply to many people in Germany – with the difference that they are in no way responsible for the misery they find themselves in. In any case, Habeck and his ministry did not receive pity on the social networks – quite the contrary.
