Will that get votes in voters for October 9th? Some video viewers could probably be irritated by this song insert by a politician who wants to take over the highest office in the state as Federal President in the Hofburg.
Gerald Grosz was obviously in a very good mood when he recorded himself singing in the selfie function at the Altaussee Kirtag. The lyrics of the song are familiar from folk festivals: “Zi … eini, Zi … aussi, oberheit geht’s guat”, sings the Hofburg candidate, who also wants to fire the government if he gets enough votes.
His song about an obviously successful intercourse had no more than 175 likes after 19 hours. And many Twitter users were also critical of the show. One user wrote: “Saudeppat” Another said: “Unfortunately awesome!” And Edith Limbach wrote: “For God’s sake!” a “Rolvie8” opined: “So some clown running for a high political office? A shame for Austria.”
The next surveys will show how the singing candidate is received by the Austrians. According to an opinion study by oe24, Grosz currently only has 7%, Marco Pogo 10%, Tassilo Wallentin 11%, Walter Rosenkranz 17% and Alexander Van der Bellen 50%.
