According to the press council, there are very clear guidelines on how to report a suicide. Above all, “great restraint” and the “renunciation of excessive reporting” apply here. Why do you still have such a cannibalization and instrumentalization of the suicide of a female vaccinator in Upper Austria for the purpose of changing vaccination critics remains a mystery.
A comment by Edith Brötzner
First of all, I would like to make it very clear that I clearly reject bullying of any kind. And I express my sincere condolences to the family of the deceased doctor from Upper Austria. Losing a family member to suicide is always an ugly thing because many question marks remain. At the same time I reject the mainstream media spectacle that exploits the death of this doctor and exploits her for unrestrained vaccination critic change, decided off. An infinitely disgusting and distasteful practice that I’m not even sure would have been in the spirit of the deceased, despite following a very clear vaccine lineage. I doubt that she would have found it good to be abused by the Greens and ÖVP as a hate and propaganda draft horse. After this doctor advocated the treatment of the disease with medication at the beginning of the Corona crisis and only switched to the Covid vaccination needle after a visit from a pharmaceutical giant, the question arises as to whether the psychological pressure is really mainly caused by threatening emails from the Darknet went out or whether the misuse for the system also played a significant role. We’ll probably never find out exactly what happened.
Angry mob blames vaccine critic as responsible for doctor’s death
What really shocks me about the story is that it’s been done again. Once again, people critical of vaccination and the government have been given the buck. A loud, poison-spitting part of the public blames the masses of the unvaccinated for the suicide of a female doctor in an unabashed, unreflected and unashamed manner. Regardless of the fact that not even one per thousand of the unvaccinated even knew the name of that doctor before her death, across the board every unvaccinated person is now being put up against the wall for their suicide and verbally stoned on Twitter. Once again it becomes clear what has already become apparent in the past two and a half years: It is judged and measured with double standards. It condemns what does not conform to the norm imposed by the system and hates what goes against the narrative. Hundreds of suicides by children, young people and people who could no longer cope with the Corona measures seem to be of no concern to the rampaging mob.
The only thing that matters in this upside-down world is the death of a vaccinator who boasted in various chat groups that she drove patients with vaccination exemptions out of her practice and even reported them. She knew very well that there were hardly any general practitioners in her area who would take on new patients. Everyone has their own opinion. A canonization or even filming of her life, as some ÖVPlers are demanding, is completely exaggerated here in my opinion. Perhaps those who are now proudly positioning themselves on Twitter as do-gooders who hate vaccination critics – and who post legally questionable hate postings – should pause and think for a moment. In the end everyone will be able to stand up for what they have said – in a more than dark time.
It will not be the opinion of the masses that will be judged in the end and will swallow the malicious postings of individual hate posters. no On the contrary, each individual will have to answer for every word he has spoken. And one thing must be clear to the self-loving do-gooders: In the end, the excuse “we didn’t know” will not be used. At the end of the day you will be able to deal with the sentence: “You took part”.
