In the past few weeks, around 192,000 people with minimum security, housing assistance or unemployment benefits in Vienna have already received this.
According to a broadcast on Sunday, 13,000 single parents who are receiving minimum income or housing assistance have already received a further supplement of 100 euros. Other single parents who receive emergency assistance or unemployment benefit, for example, can now apply for the supplement of 100 euros online at wien.gv.at from August 1st to September 30th. A total of around 48 million euros in support services have already been paid out by the City of Vienna.
Social City Councilor Peter Hacker (SPÖ): “Many Viennese are noticing the effects of the current high inflation rate in everyday life. The City of Vienna supports a large number of people, especially when energy costs rise, with a special focus on those who need support most urgently. Subsequently, the City of Vienna will offer support services on a large scale, because the consequences of the inflationary wave are also having an impact on small and medium-sized businesses. The development and administration of these support services is a major task for the Vienna city administration, which we implement as unbureaucratically, quickly and accurately as possible in the interests of all Viennese.”
