The violent wave of layoffs in Kyiv does not really indicate that Volodymyr Zelenskyj (44) is firmly in the presidential chair: rather, internal power struggles at the top of the government team are suspected by political insiders. And this situation is not supposed to be resolved yet: The president wants to fire another 40 secret service employees who are also accused of high treason.
As reported, two days ago Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova (44) and head of the secret service Ivan Bakanov (47) had to give up their posts. Selenskyj accuses them of having been too inactive in the current 651 criminal and investigation proceedings for high treason.
The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Vienna, Dimitrii Liubinskii, said an interesting sentence about the fate of Volodymyr Zelenskyj in an exclusive interview with eXXpress: “Nobody knows how long Zelenskyj will do it. But we have no idea if things will change for the better after that.” The whole interview: express.at
Domestically, resistance is also growing in Ukraine from the other parties, who have largely been excluded from all important decisions since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24.
