These new images from the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia show part of the madness of this war in Europe: Little Liza lies in the open coffin, her relatives are stunned with grief. The girl was hit in the stroller by fragments of a Russian cruise missile that exploded in the center of the central Ukrainian city. With Liza, another 23 people died in this shock attack by the Russian army.
Liza’s mother is still seriously injured in the hospital, the child’s father is beside himself with grief, aunts and uncles accuse the Russian troops: “Why? Why are you doing this? Why are you firing into a city? on civilians? To children?”
Images like these will convince even more people in Western Europe that the war should have ended long ago with peace negotiations. While the EU – so far absolutely pointless – sanctions and Kyiv is demanding more and more weapons and billions for the war, children are dying every day: So far, 350 girls and boys have been killed and 652 seriously injured.
