The Chief of Staff of the 22nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Major General Artem Nasbulin, is reported to have died in an attack on a mobile command post in Tavriis’k, Kherson Oblast.
In footage released by Ukraine, the US-supplied HIMARS artillery-missile system, hitting targets up to 50 miles (80 kilometers) away, can be seen near the Nova Kakhovka power plant.
Suddenly, artillery rockets hit everywhere, a huge fireball covers the city’s night sky. According to media reports, a Kremlin mobile ammunition depot was also hit. 200 Russian soldiers are said to have been killed in the attack – information that “eXXpress” cannot independently verify.
Before the HIMARS light multiple rocket launcher arrived in the war zone, the Russian-held southern city of Kherson was out of reach of Ukrainian forces. It was also used in an earlier attack near Kherson in which a total of 12 Russian officers, including a colonel, were said to have been killed when the missiles hit their command post – eXXpress reported on Putin’s general death.
