Fear of summer wave: Mayor Ludwig wants to tighten rules for Vienna today
There were more than 3,400 new corona infections in Vienna on Wednesday. For Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ), it seems time to tighten the rules. The experts will advise in the town hall on Thursday.
The summer wave worries the mayor. Although Vienna already has the strictest rules in the country, further tightening is to be expected today. At 11 a.m. the video conference will take place in the town hall. In the course of the afternoon, Ludwig should appear in front of the press and report from the video conference.
Masks will probably come back
What do the Viennese have to reckon with? The FFP2 mask should celebrate its big comeback. Also in stores and supermarkets. But there are also restrictions on events.
