Because Putin is turning off the gas tap: the EU signs a gas agreement with Norway

The countries of the European Union (EU) will purchase more gas from Norway in the future. Both sides want to intensify cooperation to ensure additional gas supplies from Norway in the short and long term, the EU and Western Europe’s largest gas producer announced on Thursday after a meeting between EU Climate Protection Commissioner Frans Timmermans and Norwegian Energy Minister Terje Aasland.
