It is finished! Sadio Mané’s move from Liverpool to Bayern is perfect. The star striker from Senegal had already traveled to Munich for a medical check-up on Tuesday. Today, Wednesday, the transfer was officially confirmed. Mané signed a contract until 2025. The striker (30) should cost 32 million euros plus a maximum of nine million euros in bonuses
“With Sadio Mané, a top international star is coming to Bayern Munich who has made his mark on world football. We are proud to have brought him to Munich. In our conversations, Sadio made it clear from the first minute that he only wanted to play for Bayern. Everyone knows his outstanding qualities, both playfully and his incredible mentality. He will give our team a lot with their great structure and carry them along,” said sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.
Sadio Mané has also officially commented on this transfer: “I’m very happy to finally be with FC Bayern in Munich. We had a lot of talks and I felt the great interest of this big club from the start. So there was no doubt in my mind right from the start: This is the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club, also internationally. During my time in Salzburg I followed many FC Bayern games – I like this club very much!”
Mané moved from Southampton FC to Liverpool FC in 2016. With the Reds he won the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the European Supercup in 2019. In 2020, the Senegalese was instrumental in Liverpool lifting the Premier League title. Mané played for Red Bull Salzburg from 2012 to 2014.
