Attention Formula 1 fans! This year’s Formula 1 Grand Prix of Austria will soon take place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. However, if you want to be there live and enjoy the race, you should hurry. Because the tickets for the Grand Prix are in great demand. On the one hand, the omission of anti-corona measures has given an additional boost to ticket sales. In addition, Red Bull Racing’s winning streak means that only a few tickets can be booked.
According to the official ticket page, only selected categories for Friday and Saturday were bookable today, Tuesday afternoon; Sunday is currently sold out. On Saturday, July 9th, a sprint race will be held in Spielberg for the first time. Qualifying takes place on Friday. Those who are still interested in tickets will have to order soon, according to Projekt Spielberg.
As usual, exact pre-sales figures were not disclosed. For the time being, it is not possible to assess whether a new record for the number of viewers could be achieved this year. But that seems entirely possible. The visit on the weekend of 2014, when Formula 1 returned to Austria after a long break, has never been surpassed. Back then, around 220,000 spectators came over three days.
