Police officers found the body of a young woman in an apartment in Vienna-Floridsdorf on Sunday. Surveys at the scene point to a homicide. Two suspects were arrested. The interrogations are expected to last until late in the evening.
Now the police spokeswoman announced: “The traces in the apartment and in the stairwell led the investigators of the Vienna State Criminal Police Office to come to the preliminary decision that this could be a homicide.” The autopsy confirmed on Sunday evening: The cause of death was third-party negligence. According to the 25-year-old man, he had known the victim for several months. The other man is a friend and roommate. In the course of the interrogations, both suspects made contradicting statements, which is why the events of the night could not be completely clarified to date. Particularly suspicious: the 30-year-old arrested hid in the basement of the community building, where he was arrested by police officers.
