“Whatever that is, I fear the Greeks and the gifts they are carrying” – wWhatever it is, I fear the Danaans, even if they bring gifts “- Virgil already wrote this in his Aeneid: The “sensational 3000-euro candy”, as the new relief idea is already being praised in government circles, should actually be a (albeit reasonable) Danaer gift for Austria’s employees. An indication of this: The pressure to pay out these 3000 euros comes from the Chamber of Commerce, the eXXpress heard.
With the receipt of the 3000 euros, the employees and above all the trade unionists should be persuaded to largely forgo other demands in the coming wage negotiations: Eight percent salary increases for all employees would not be possible for a large number of companies, a wave of bankruptcies would cover Austria – with the following mass unemployment.
And so the federal government’s planned 3,000-euro treat actually has something of a Danaer gift: For example, with a net salary of 2,200 euros, an employee would have a monthly salary that is 176 euros higher if there were an 8-percent compensation for inflation. After 15 months that would already be a plus of 2640 euros, after two years 4224 euros would have ended up in the salary account in addition to the previous monthly salary – i.e. 1224 euros more than the government gift accounts for.
The 3000 euro transfer to all working Austrians is not yet fixed. However, a reduction in cold progression, as well as payments of additional tax money to pensioners, recipients of minimum income or care allowance recipients, are as good as approved.
Also decided: The climate bonus of 250 euros in October for every adult, as well as a shift in CO2 pricing so that the price of fuel does not rise even more.
