After an interruption due to the pandemic, the self-proclaimed elites of the world met again this year from May 22nd to 26th, which focused on their planned economy agenda.
Klaus Schwab, founder and chairman of the World Economic Forum, has evidently studied carefully Max Frisch, the author of the drama “Biedermann und die Brandstifter”, who once stated: “The best camouflage is the truth. No one believes you.” In fact: If the plans of the WEF had been created in secret behind closed doors and had been made public through an indiscretion, it would have had, in view of their scope and impact on the lives of citizens in the once free world Security given some excitement. The suspicion of a conspiracy by darklings would quickly have made the rounds.
However, since Klaus Schwab and his comrades-in-arms don’t turn her heart into a den of murderers, but rather announce to the world in word and writing – which can be read in his book “The Great Reset” – what they intend to do with her, nothing happens. Strange. Doesn’t anyone listen to these people or understand what they intend to play?
In his welcome address to this year’s conference, WEF chief Schwab, son of a man who played a not inconsiderable role in Nazi nuclear weapons research, declared: “The future doesn’t just happen. The future is made by us. By a powerful community of people in this room. We have the means to improve the state of the world” (listen here).
Sounds like a Bond film. The dream of world domination, in what feels like the 1387th edition. The invocation of collective goals, while at the same time criticizing the pursuit of individual interests, rounds off the picture harmoniously. However, if the concept boils down to “common good before self-interest”, which doesn’t sound bad at all, it should not be forgotten that it was rigorously implemented before – from 1933 to 1945, as part of the 25-point program of the NSDAP from April 1920.
The WEF’s openly declared goal, the “Great Reset” (a book that, it is to be feared, is just as little read and/or understood as “Mein Kampf” once upon a time) is headed towards a centralized one run by self-proclaimed elites command regime that makes Taliban rule in Afghanistan look like a libertarian wonderland. The admiration of a totalitarian policy modeled on China takes up a lot of space in the book. According to the ideas of Schwab & comrades, no stone should be left unturned in western societies.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the political and economic turbulence resulting from its catastrophic management, the fantasized “climate catastrophe” and more recently the war in Ukraine are to be used as leverage to transform the market economy system – at least the meager remnants of it still exist replaced by a planned economy dictatorship.
A kind of economic and socio-political cantillon effect will be inextricably linked to the “Great Reset”, except that in this case not only prosperity, but above all power will be concentrated in just a few and the majority of citizens will largely enjoy their freedom and rights is robbed.
According to the ideas of the envisaged WEF world government, the nation states should no longer be granted any competence of any importance. The concept of subsidiarity has no place in the world of ideas of the WEF globalists. “Small is Beautiful” (© Leopold Kohr, EF Schumacher) – that was the day before yesterday. Instead, gigantomania is the order of the day. Nothing works in Davos with anything less than a globally binding agenda. There the big wheel is turned.
A “vote with your feet” will no longer be possible under the circumstances prevailing after the “Great Reset”. If you don’t like that, you’ll have to emigrate to Mars (where, by the way, it’s also getting warmer all the time, only that there’s no climate Gretel who gets upset about it).
It is well known how poorly bureaucratically managed planned economies function at the national level: lack of freedom, scarcity, misery and the rule of bigwigs who are as arrogant as they are corrupt have always been system-typical for the planned economies that have been experienced to date. So it’s downright crazy to expect that a remake on a global basis will work better, and not fail more spectacularly, than the more modest experiments of the past. How can a completely withdrawn bubble of self-proclaimed elites presume to know better what is good for individual citizens than they do themselves? What enables – and above all: what entitles them to do so?!
The following quote is attributed to the Prussian military scientist Carl von Clausewitz: “No plan of war survives the first encounter with the enemy.” There is some consolation in that. It is no different with political tabula rasa concepts, which may appear ingenious in the imagination of their creators, but can hardly ever be enforced against human nature – at least not in the long term and at least not without bloody collateral damage. As noted at this point: We live in interesting times!
