The security expert of the notorious Ibiza video clique, who was recently sentenced (not legally binding) to three and a half years in prison for drug crimes, will need his expensive lawyers even longer: the Vienna State Criminal Police Office and the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the suspicion of further drug deals against Julian Hessenthaler (41) – the media office of the public prosecutor’s office confirmed on Wednesday the information that was leaked to eu-infothek.com and eXXpress.
For Hessenthaler, this development is anything but reassuring: According to Section 28 a/4, the co-organizer of the video trap for HC Strache and Johann Gudenus faces “one to 15 years in prison”. The security expert and ex-V-man of the executive already has to serve many months of the three and a half year prison sentence if the judgment passed in St. Pölten on March 30th becomes final.
If there is another trial in the detention center during this time, Julian Hessenthaler will remain in prison longer – and in court this first conviction (not final) will not really be helpful in any case. The “hero” of some left-leaning media – such as the Viennese regional newspaper “Falter” – does not have the best chance of being released from prison anytime soon.
The eu-infothek.com and the eXXpress also learned some details from the new investigations against Hessenthaler: This crime story is also supposed to be about the cocaine trade. And the investigators of the State Criminal Police Office in Vienna also have some witnesses who testify against the Ibiza video accomplice.
Due to the paragraph on the investigation procedure, it is also clear that it is supposed to be larger amounts of drugs. Quotation from the Narcotic Substances Act to § 28 a/4: “Anyone who commits the crime according to paragraph 1
– commits as a member of a criminal organization and has already been convicted of an offense under paragraph 1,
– as a member of an association of a larger number of people committing such crimes, or
– commits in relation to narcotic drugs in a quantity exceeding twenty-five times the limit.”
These renewed investigations also cause the efforts of the Hessenthaler fans to stylize the video trapper into a superhero and crumble even more: Hardly any prisoner against whom the next drug investigation is underway fits into the clean left-wing world of righteousness – even the already half-torn “Freedom for Hessenthaler” posters on some Viennese street corners now look even more bizarre.
Incidentally, the Ibiza video accomplice could also face another, third criminal case.
