What a glittering evening! Together with stage veteran Alfons Haider (64), Leona König (40) now led through the awarding of the “Golden Note”. The classical music promotion prize that the likeable cultural initiator and presenter herself brought to life. The mother of a daughter has been the chairwoman and founder of the association “IMF – International Music Foundation for highly gifted children” since 2016 to promote highly gifted young talents in the field of classical music.
And that’s how the “Golden Note” came about, which now took place in the course of a glamorous gala. Four girls from Vienna and South Tyrol won the coveted young talent prize for classical music this year. A total of nine young musicians competed for prizes for string, keyboard and wind instruments in the ORF final show, and an audience prize was also awarded. They were accompanied by the Big Island Orchestra Vienna under the direction of Martin Gellner. Very successful evening!
