In Group A in Helsinki, Denmark saved a chance of reaching the quarter-finals with a 3-0 win against France. KAC goalkeeper Sebastian Dahm saved all 19 shots on goal by the French. Thanks to the Danes’ victory, Switzerland and Germany are firmly in the quarter-finals.
At 3.20 p.m. the Austrian national ice hockey team will face Finland. The hosts were the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals. The ÖEHV team goes into this game as a clear underdog. On Monday there will be a relegation showdown against Great Britain after suffering a penalty shoot-out defeat against Latvia on Friday. In the parallel game, Canada has to deal with Switzerland.
In the evening games (7.20 p.m.) the Czech Republic meets Norway, while Slovakia challenges Italy.
