Blood donations: Shitstorm against 3×3 sex rule escalated

The aim of the federal government was to enable “blood donations without discrimination”. However, Health Minister Johannes Rauch and Youth Secretary of State Claudia Plakolm seem to have overshot this goal with their new “3 × 3 rule”: Anyone who displays excessive “risk behavior” – i.e. has more than three sexual partners within three months – should in future be excluded from blood donations for a certain period of time. The internet has some incomprehension, some humor and some sheer mockery. Within a very short time, the terms #blood donation and #sexual partner were trending on Twitter – and the shitstorm has apparently only just begun…
