The self-proclaimed world savior and greatest health expert of all time, Bill Gates, is not stingy with plans for the “brave new world”. With hundreds of satellites, he wants to monitor every visible movement on earth around the clock. All of this – openly declared – in the course of the UN Agenda 2030 “Sustainable Development Goals”, i.e. the Great Reset of the new world order. Luckily so far: The project has not made any noticeable progress since 2016.
In 2016, several multi-billionaires put a few hundred million dollars on the table to create the Radiant Earth Foundation. The goal: to monitor the entire surface of the earth around the clock with satellite technology from space and to analyze it using artificial intelligence. This should serve the United Nations 2030 Agenda, as does it right at the beginning on the homepage of the foundation is announced. A part of the plans is the company EarthNow, based in Seattle, which is supposed to technically realize the live monitoring.
The intent is to provide an “unfiltered live video stream that will be used to uncover illegal fishing, detect natural disasters,” monitor migrating whales, watch war zones, provide on-demand data on plant health and whatnot however you want to find out the people using the system.
Orwell’s Big Brother from Outer Space
There were media reports on this project mainly in 2017 and 2018 – since then, silence has returned. At that time mentioned for example the well-known medium “Newsweek” – quite rightly – the term “Big Brother”. That’s the name of the fictional dictator of George Orwell’s 1984 dystopia, who sees everything, hears everything – and ultimately punishes everything. In numerous derivations and analyzes of the novel, Big Brother becomes a superintelligence, an artificial being from the computer. Which is clear, because a single person would never have the capacity to monitor the whole world at the same time.
Accordingly, the “Radiant Earth Foundation” also relies on artificial superintelligence, which is supposed to monitor absolutely everything in the world. Of course, only for the good of the people, as the Foundation assures. Also touching are the assurances from Radiant Earth that all data should be available to everyone free of charge. EarthNow’s business model, on the other hand, provides for close cooperation with governments and services, which should also result in added value.
radiant earth
The naming “Radiant Earth” is idiosyncratic. In science, the “radian” is a unit of measurement in geometry, an angular measure of the arc of a circle. In practice, however, “rad” is more likely to be found in nuclear technology, with which radiation exposure is measured. This is due to the simple translation “radiant” = radiant, rad stands for “radiation absorbed dose” in the above context. It is not necessarily common to refer to particularly positive events as “radiant” in English. There would be an infinite number of other more appropriate and common terms for it, just to name a few with “brilliant, shining or splendid”.
The consortium of accomplices billionaires
Anyway, the bright new future is being planned by Bill Gates and his accomplices at the Radiant Earth Foundation. On board Radiant or EarthNow are OneWeb founder Greg Wyler, Intellectual Ventures, Airbus, Softbank, Schmidt Futures, McGovern Foundation and E-Bay founder Pierre Omidyar’s Omidyar network.
One of the greatest achievements since the foundation’s inception is the STAC browser. This is the heart of the evaluation of data information that is to be obtained using satellites. It is a foundational work upon which any later planned science or surveillance is to be built. Because the satellite data obtained must be catalogued, recognized and categorized. You can’t read much from an image alone if it’s just one in millions – rather billions – of images of the earth’s surface. Only projects like STAC enable rapid interpretation by humans – or machines. In truth, meaningful analyzes on the planned scale can only be carried out by artificial intelligence anyway.

So far it’s all just theory
Luckily for mankind, for the time being, not a single surveillance satellite from “Radiant Earth” or “EarthNow” has been launched into space – it is unclear whether any have been built at all. So far, only one billionaire has brought numerous satellites into space – Elon Musk – and he is considered to be at odds with Bill Gates. So far, Musk has only used his satellites for good and thus also supplies remote areas of the world with mobile communications. In the course of the Ukraine crisis, he showed that he was serious about his fight for freedom of expression and equality. On the one hand he made his satellites available to the attacked Ukrainians, on the other hand he vehemently refused any unequal treatment of Russians or suppression of Russian opinions.
How does OneWeb fit into the concept?
OneWeb is a London-based corporate giant that may not yet be in the public eye. Founded in 2012, the aim was to connect the whole world to the Internet centrally with its own satellite network of ultimately 6,372 satellites. A plan that ultimately succeeded Elon Musk while OneWeb went bankrupt in early 2020. The company was saved and reorganized, from December 2020 it launched satellites into space again. The company already has more than 500 communications satellites in space. It is not known whether they also have video technology in the sense of “Radiant Earth” on board, but it can be ruled out. Until February 10, they only used Russian rockets, but now they want to switch to SpaceX due to the war. OneWeb is since August 2021 in operational telecommunications operations.
The vision: Everything for the good. The truth?
Of course, you can also do a lot of good with a global live monitoring system, such as monitoring and planning the growth of biomass or the success of agriculture. You can analyze natural disasters in seconds and send help where it is really needed. But the foundation likes to talk about its research and plans – the fact is: If such a satellite network were to become reality, which could show every spot of the earth live at any time, it would not only be used for good. It doesn’t matter whether criminals use it to plan their raids or governments use it to plan their next wars. This is already partly possible today with Google Maps and Google Earth – with the restriction that the data material offered there is incomplete and often months old. Bill Gates envisions live viewing — and that’s a whole new and pretty definitive level of total surveillance.
Anyone wondering how many satellites will soon be orbiting the earth: until 2030 was the middle of the previous year 24,700 more satellites ordered for manufacture and launch. meanwhile, the little people on earth naturally have to save electricity, gas and petrol – and feel duped accordingly.
