Austria soccer international Florian Grillitsch, who will leave German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim after his contract expires, is in talks over a move to Lazio. The midfielder is considered the preferred candidate by Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri, reported the “Gazzetta dello Sport” on Wednesday. Grillitsch can move to Rome for free.
Lazio, fifth in Serie A with 63 points going into the final round of Serie A action, are looking to strengthen their squad for next season. Grillisch, who moved from Bremen to Hoffenheim in the summer of 2017, is said to play a central role in Sarri’s team as a director. According to “Gazzetta dello Sport”, Sarri’s list of professionals who could be considered for next season also includes Italy international Emerson, who is on loan from Chelsea at Olympique Lyon.
