Ukrainians are defending themselves against Putin’s invading troops with everything they have – it’s even boosting the startup industry. Ukrainian company Delfart has raised 2.4 million euros from foreign investors in a crowdfunding campaign to produce an electronic motorbike. However, that was in 2021 – i.e. before the war. But now they are used right there!
With the help of British “NLAW” rocket launchers, the Ukrainian army uses the e-motorbike to stop Putin’s tank. This is arguably one of the cheapest ways to defend against a tank army in a war. The NLAW anti-tank system costs only 30,000 euros. According to the manufacturer, the e-motorbike model “OP 3.0” (picture) from delfast is already available for around 6900 euros.
The bike is powered by a rear motor with up to 5000 watts of power and transports the Ukrainian soldiers at a top speed of 80 km/h. The range is up to 320 kilometers. With 182 Newton meters of torque, proper acceleration is ensured. Not to mention that the almost silent means of transport gives the Ukrainians a tactical advantage.
And resourceful Ukrainian defenders seem to be succeeding. According to Ukrainian information, the number of Russian soldiers killed is now around 28,300. 1,251 tanks, 167 attack helicopters and 201 fighter jets were also destroyed. In addition, there are currently 1,000 Russian soldiers in Ukrainian captivity.
