A major rally against the war in Ukraine took place in Verona over the weekend. The blame was placed not with Russia but with NATO and the USA.
Many people in the NATO member state of Italy also have no desire for war. The reputation of the military alliance is likely to have suffered greatly there. A large crowd took to the streets of Verona last Saturday, expressing their displeasure at NATO’s warmongering. The people shouted “NATO is a killer” – “NATO is a murderer”.

In Genoa the motto was: “March for Peace, Against Arms”. Arms deliveries to Ukraine were also criticized.
