Tragedy at championship celebration: Fan killed in riots
A championship celebration of FC Porto got completely out of control. The celebrations were overshadowed by riots and the violent death of a supporter. The follower (26) was stabbed during an altercation.

FC Porto celebrated the championship title in the Portuguese league. But the championship celebration that followed was overshadowed by Rnadalen and the violent death of a follower. The fan (26) got caught up in a clash between rival fan groups of the club from northern Portugal. He was stabbed in the process. The media reported this Sunday, citing the police.
A companion of the victim was taken to the hospital with stab wounds. The riots reportedly took place in the early hours of the morning near Porto’s Estadio do Dragao stadium. FC Porto became Portuguese champions for the 30th time. Porto secured the championship title with a 1-0 win at Benfica Lisbon. Defender Zaidu scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of added time. Porto now has 88 points after 33 laps and can no longer be caught by pursuers Sporting Lisbon (82 points). Benfica are in third place with 71 points. However, Benfica remain record champions in Portugal with 37 titles.
