The shock at Shkodran Mustafi runs deep. The 2014 soccer world champion was the victim of a home invasion in Spain. According to the Spanish newspaper “Levante”, burglars entered the football star’s house on Monday night. The perpetrators were able to steal jewelry, cash and designer clothes with a total value of one million euros. At this point, Mustafi was on the top floor of his villa. In the meantime, the perpetrators cleared the ground floor. Mustafi noticed the burglars too late. They were already on the run with the bag.
The Levante player keeps posting photos of his expensive property and luxury goods on his social networks. Mustafi seems particularly proud of his Ferrari. The police therefore suspect that the perpetrators have previously obtained information about the Instagram profile of the soccer star. Then the act was planned. The burglars finally gained entry through the private golf course in Bétera near Valencia.
However, Mustafi is not an isolated case. There have always been reports of break-ins among soccer stars. Most burglaries occur when the stars are traveling to away games and are therefore away from their mansions. However, Mustafi hasn’t really been a part of the Levante squad in recent weeks. Since November, he has only had a short stint of 14 minutes. He was out of action for a long time due to a knee injury.
