Austria almost experienced the first eightfold jackpot in lottery history, but nothing came of it. Since Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. it has been clear: an Upper Austrian is the only player who has cracked the seven-fold jackpot and is now richer by a whopping EUR 9,802,237.50. This is the second highest win in lottery history. The gold numbers 8, 9, 28, 34, 40, 43 brought the lucky winner the win, which he got with a quick tip with 12 tips. With the sixth he landed the goal.
In November 2018, a Lower Austrian from the Waldviertel was able to win the highest prize in history. In his case, it was even 14.9 million euros.
Four Joker winners were also able to clear away on Wednesday, one each from Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland and one via Win2Day. At LottoPlus, too, a player struck with a six and can now look forward to around 900,000 euros with his quick tip in Vienna.
