He was once one of the biggest fans of the short message service, then he was censored, blocked and finally banned from Twitter altogether: We’re talking about Donald Trump, of course. After Twitter accepted Elon Musk’s purchase offer, rumors grew louder that the former US President could soon “tweet” again. Donald Trump has now dispelled this hope – or fear – himself: He spoke out against a comeback – so he will probably prefer to stay with his own Twitter clone “Truth Social”.
The former US President was once the most well-known user of Twitter. On his account (@realDonaldTrump), which was one of the most followed on Twitter, he publicly shared his sometimes questionable opinions on things. After expressing sympathy for his followers who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, he was summarily banned from Twitter and has not been unblocked since. For him, however, that was no reason to worry. Just under a month and a half later, the Twitter clone “Truth Social” launched by Trump went online.
The boss of “Tesla” and “SpaceX”, Elon Musk, will very likely soon set the tone for the short message service Twitter. After long discussions about the takeover, the Twitter board has now approved Musk’s offer (express reported). The richest man in the world will take over the service with the blue bird in the logo for 44 billion US dollars.
