On Easter Sunday, two young people aged 16 and 19 died in a dramatic accident. At around 7:20 p.m. they were on a parking deck in an old VW Golf that fell over 18 meters while driving over the low wall of a parking deck. The two boys were taken to a clinic under ongoing resuscitation, but only the death of both could be determined there. Eyewitnesses and family members who came to the scene of the accident received emergency pastoral care.
As the “Bild” reports, young people are said to have often met on the roof of the parking garage to “drift”. This is how the deliberate oversteering of cars is called, in which, for example, the rear breaks out. It is likely that such driving maneuvers could have led to the fatal accident, said a police spokesman for the dpa. The exact course of events is currently still the subject of investigations.
