Mykhailo Samus, director of a military think tank in Lviv, and Andriy Klymenko, editor of Black Sea News and the Ukrainian newspaper Defense Express, have already warned that if the Moscow sinks in the Black Sea, nuclear weapons will be on board could have had: namely at least two nuclear warheads for the “P-1000” guided missiles, for the so-called “aircraft carrier killers”. These “P-1000” missiles have a maximum range of 700 kilometers and are designed to attack US aircraft carriers.
So far, the Kremlin has remained silent about this enormous threat to the entire Black Sea region – and there have also been no reports of rescue attempts. So one of the most important questions remains: How big is the risk of a radiation leak? After all, when the Ukrainian “Neptune” rockets hit, there were huge explosions on board the “Moskva” …
The second big question: what became of the crew of the “Moskva”? Between 500 and 610 sailors were on the guided missile cruiser at the time of the missile attack. The first reports in the Turkish media spoke of 54 rescued – then no further information came.
If almost all crew members were actually able to save themselves, the Russian Ministry of Defense would probably have published this together with photographic evidence. The silence of the official Russian authorities says a lot. It has already been confirmed: Anton Kuprin, the captain of the “Moskva”, is said to have gone down with the mighty warship.
And one more question worries international military experts: How will the President of the Russian Federation react to this heavy hit by the Ukrainians? Currently, it is considered most likely that the Russian armed forces in a retaliatory strike with “Kalibr” cruise missiles and “Kinschall” hypersonic missiles directly attack the government seat of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj in Kyiv.
The “Kinzhal” is dropped at high altitude by MiG-31 fighter jets. Only at a safe distance from the aircraft does its own rocket engine ignite. It carries the ‘Kinschal’, which can reach speeds of up to 6100 km/h, up to 20 kilometers and then down to the finish line. When launched from a MiG-31, the weapon system has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers, according to Russian information.
In addition, a large-scale offensive by the Russian army in the Donbass region in eastern Ukraine is already expected in the next few hours – starting with a massive barrage of guns and multiple rocket launchers.
