Pity! The TTC Wiener Neustadt did not manage to win the table tennis Europe. In the first leg you could still celebrate a 3:2 victory in Carrara in Tuscany. But on Saturday, the Lower Austrians were beaten by the Italians 3-1 in their own hall. Carrara was able to secure the trophy with an overall score of 5:4 in the follow-up competition to the ETTU Cup.
With a win against Andrej Gacina, Frane Kojic paved the way for the hosts to win. However, Felix Wetzel and Tomas Konecny lost their duels. Kojic was then under pressure to win against Mihai Bobocica. At 2:2 sets, the tie-break had to decide, in which Kojic caused increasing problems with a triceps injury on his right arm. At 3:4 he took a time out but lost by the closest possible score 5:6. Despite the disappointment, the club was satisfied with the season in the European Cup.
