FPÖ counters Karas (ÖVP): “Gas embargo would be economic suicide”

The consequences of a “Njet” on Russian gas would be a massive economic recession, record unemployment, runaway inflation, a rapidly declining standard of living and the destruction of entire branches of industry in the affected countries, warns MEP Roman Haider from the (FPÖ). EU leaders like Karas, but also Council President Michel and Commission President von der Leyen are ready to throw Austria, Germany and other EU countries into chaos.
