The listed Viennese technology company Frequentis returned to profitability in the 2021 financial year. The consolidated result turned from – 3.4 million euros in 2020 to + 20.8 million euros, sales increased by 11.4 percent to 333.5 million euros. The group of companies develops air traffic control systems and software for security authorities.
Internationally, the company is represented by companies, branches and agencies in over 50 countries and is considered the world market leader for secure communication networks. Among other things, the constant growth in the core business and successful acquisitions, such as units of the US company L3Harris Technologies, are responsible for the positive result. Incoming orders increased by 5.9 percent, and the order backlog increased by 9.4 percent.
“We were able to complete many projects despite the lockdowns and travel restrictions. In addition to growth in the existing business, we have expanded our product portfolio in the Air Traffic Management (air traffic control) segment with the acquisition of units from L3Harris in Australia, Germany and Canada,” says CEO Norbert Haslacher.
