Söder literally said: “Lambrecht is completely overwhelmed. It embarrasses Germany in front of Ukraine and our western partners. Chancellor Scholz should actually make a cabinet move.” His statements were made at the CSU presidium meeting on Monday, as participants later reported.
In the past few weeks, there have been repeated allegations against Lambrecht. The 56-year-old had taken over the office from Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (CDU). She is accused of not supplying enough weapons to Ukraine and that many of them might not work. Most recently, she finally delivered the wrong weapons to Ukraine – the eXXpress reported.
Lambrecht himself does not want to speak publicly about the arms deliveries to Ukraine, citing the Ukrainian leadership. This contradicted: Germany could talk about the Lungen, only the time and the delivery routes should be kept secret.
