The electric car manufacturer Tesla achieved a delivery record in the past quarter. A total of 310,048 vehicles were delivered in the first three months of the year, the US group announced on Saturday evening. Production came to a standstill in the face of global supply chain problems and the temporary halt to production at the Shanghai plant. The quarter was extremely difficult, Tesla boss Elon Musk wrote on Twitter.
In the final quarter of 2021, Tesla delivered 308,600 cars. That was the sixth delivery record in a row. In 2021 as a whole, Tesla had increased its deliveries by 87 percent to around 936,000.
