The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced on Sunday that the safety situation in Ukraine’s nuclear power plants remained unchanged. She had noticed last week that the forest fires in the area of Chernobyl did not represent a major radiological risk.
However, the IAEA has not received any live data from the monitoring devices for almost three weeks Chernobyl. She also expressed concern on Sunday that staff on the site had not been replaced since March 20. The previous team even had to work a month without being replaced.
