In the large e-car comparison by “Bild”, 28 electric car models were tested for their range under the same conditions and at a constant speed of 130 km/h. However, only two of the 28 models managed to cross the 400-kilometer threshold with a single battery charge. Surprising: The best vehicle from the electric car manufacturer Tesla only made it to 6th place. Before that there were almost exclusively German makes.
First place goes to the EQS 580 4M from Mercedes. With a battery capacity of 107.8 KW/100km (kilowatts per 100 kilometers) and a consumption of 24.3 KW/100km, it achieves a range of 444 kilometers. With a price of €135,529, the Mercedes is also one of the most expensive electric cars on the market.
In second place is the BMW iX50 xDrive50. With a range of 434 kilometers, it also crosses the 400-km threshold. With a full battery charge of 105 kW/100km and a consumption of 24.2, the Bavarian brand is only just behind the Baden-Württemberg competition. Buyers also have to dig deep into their pockets for this model: the BMW can be purchased from 100,000 euros.
