It’s a small gesture, but when millions of people turn off their lights during Earth Hour, the climate crisis comes into focus. On Saturday, the lights will go out all over the world for this year’s WWF “Earth Hour” at 8:30 p.m. local time for 60 minutes. “It’s getting dark to make something visible – our joint effort against the climate crisis,” said Federal President Van der Bellen in a video message on Facebook.
With the motto “Lights out for a peaceful and lively planet”, this year’s campaign is also dedicated to the desire for peace – both in Ukraine and around the world.
