The facts are clear: the head of Vienna’s city council constantly criticizes the federal government’s “excessive easing”. And the media, which is now praising the concert for Ukraine, attacked individual Viennese scene innkeepers because they allowed “corona parties” with 25 visitors.
The somewhat irritating temporal parallelism of corona fear and the absolute corona ignorance at the current benefit concert now also provides the steep template for the FPÖ’s criticism of the red-pink Vienna city government. Vienna’s FPÖ leader Dominik Nepp is calling for all corona measures in Vienna to be lifted: “This concert was approved by the city administration and thus also received the approval of Mayor Ludwig. At the same time, Ludwig and the City Councilor for Health are hackers in panic mode and continue to restrict the lives of the Viennese. This red hypocrisy can no longer be surpassed.”
Nepp compares the Mayor of Vienna to a child star on this topic, who also doesn’t always reproduce everything correctly: “While tens of thousands of people crowded into the Ernst Happel Stadium together with Federal President Van der Bellen, who is one of the absolute high-risk groups, to the cheers of the SPÖ are allowed to celebrate, participants in demonstrations and visitors to clubs are denounced as dangerous to society. The left Pippi long stockings make their own world again, widdewidde as they like it.”
The Mayor of Vienna should now “take off his panicky face” and lift all Corona rules: “Stop this hypocrisy and immediately lift the completely pointless 2G rule, the obligation to wear masks and the compulsory tests. At the latest after yesterday’s mass concert, no one will take away your concerns anyway.”
