Russian TV protester resurfaces and fined

After her protest on Russian state TV against the Ukraine war, the woman was fined 30,000 rubles (226 euros) in Moscow. The verdict came because Marina Owssjannikova had called for protests against the war in a video, as the civil rights portal OWD-Info reported on Tuesday. At first it was feared that she would be charged under Russia’s controversial new media law. She faced up to 15 years in prison.
