At the European Championship, Christian Eriksen caused shock moments with his cardiac arrest in the group game against Finland. Christian Eriksen suddenly collapsed unconscious shortly before the half-time whistle in the match against Finland, suffered cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated. He was then fitted with a defibrillator. Last year he moved to Inter for 27 million euros. However, since he is not eligible to play there with a defibrillator in place, Eriksen switched to FC Brentford.
Now the midfielder is celebrating his comeback in the national team. Eriksen (30) is one of 23 players called up by team manager Kasper Hjulmand for Tuesday’s friendlies against the Netherlands and Serbia. “He’s fit, he’s really, really physically fit,” Hjulmand said of Eriksen. The level he showed after his return to Brentford was impressive. The Danes play the Netherlands in Amsterdam on March 26 and three days later at home in Copenhagen against Serbia.
