We have the Viennese presenter and actress Sabine Petzl on February 27, 2022 met at the “Europe for Freedom” rally in Vienna. She is one of the few celebrities to show her face and misses her fellow artists in the resistance. In an interview, she told us why it is particularly important to her as a mother to stand up for freedom and what power the collective has.
An interview with Edith Brötzner
Sabine Petzl shows her face and knows from her own experience that resistance is a pretty uncomfortable stage. Especially as a mother, she doesn’t want to just look the other way. Even if basically everything has long been said, she feels a great need to give people courage. While many of her colleagues remain silent, the actress appreciates anyone who stands up and shows their face twice. It is particularly important for them to remain in faith and to have a vision of a new, better world that we must now build for ourselves and our children. Sabine Petzl has experienced first-hand that working for freedom also has consequences. Both the demand for her seminars on the subject of body language, her speaking lessons and the bookings of the usual production companies for film work have fallen.
People around the world are standing up and forming up
For the dedicated actress, that’s no reason to back down. The ups and downs that her job generally entails are no longer something that frightens her. Even if she had to make a new decision again: she would dare to go public again at any time. In order for something to actually change and everything to be fine, the collective would finally have to understand what power it has and what it can do. At the moment you can see how people are getting up and forming around the world. Sabine Petzl is certain: When the collective realizes its power, everything will fall into place by itself.
Sabine Petzl lives in Vienna and is an actress, presenter and speaker for ORF, ARD, ZDF, RTL and SAT1. She is not only involved in the resistance against compulsory vaccination and state reprisals, but also lives her own Passionate about being a therapy dog handler.
