Putin defeated again in Ukraine: Senior commander killed
Once again, a high-ranking Russian officer was killed: this time it is Major General Andrei Kolesnikov (45), commander of the 29th Army of the Eastern Military District. This is reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. The exact circumstances are still to be clarified.
Major General Andrei Kolesnikov was killed by the Ukrainian army
The 29th Army has motorized infantry, artillery, missiles, anti-aircraft systems, special forces, NBC groups and engineer detachments. Major General Andrei Kolesnikov (45) was only promoted to Major General in December.
He is not the first high-ranking military man from Russia to die in the fighting in Ukraine: right at the beginning of the war, the deputy commander of the 41st Army, Major General Andriy Sukhovetsky, and his successor, Major General Vitaly Gerasimov, were killed.
